I heard that the old Atari ST couldnt produce stereo, i also heard there was a little box that cost a few bucks that could fix this.

If that is true most likely that is what it did.

As for voice Atari ST was very similar to Amiga when it came to sound and what it could produce .. so i believe there was no problem producing music with voice if you had place on the floppy for such useless thing ;-)
