Default Adventure Games You Know You'll Never Play

Fess up.

For me, it would have to be Kings Quest games. They look....well...stupid.

None. I was sure I would never play Post Mortem or Jack the Ripper, but some friends offered them to me, so from now on I'll refrain from hasty suppositions.

..Atlantis and other Cryo type games are serious contenders, though.

1st person adventure games.

Long time ago I had Sierra's Lighthouse, tried it once and then sold it immediately.

But which ones did you guys play?
The old Legend games are first person, but they're classic and awesome point and click inventory based etc... games.

And more recently Darkfall is really nice.

Don't like puzzle-heavy, first person games. I play adventures for plot and stuff.

King's Quest series
Police Quest series

I also have GK3 but I suspect I may never get around to playing it.

So, Myst and lots of Sierra games like King's Quest are games I will never play.

I don't close myself off to the possibility that any type or genre of game might leave me pleasently suprised. It's a silly attitude to have, to be incredibly honest, and only stops you from experiencing more.

I mean, I know I don't play strategy games. But I don't let that stop me from trying out a strategy demo to see if it's any good. Hell, I bought Rome Total War and played the crap out of it because of that. I even bought GK3 and am glad I at least tried it, even if I didn't end up enjoying it much.

What I don't like are badly developed games, and that's it.

If it's prerendered and takes place in Atlantis or Egypt, I will never play it.

Why? Because I don't want to.

Easy for me , since I dislike 3rd person adventures with lots of dialogue and characters:
Most cartoony 3rd person adventures .
Still Life, Moment of Silence, Legacy Dark Shadows
Indigo Prophecy, Dreamfall - irregardless of the action, the way the stories play out just doesn't appeal to me. However, this may be a moot point, since from the sounds of it, I wouldn't consider these as adventure games anyway.

Why am I so sure? Well, I've played Broken Sword 1 and 2, MI 1 and lost interest in MI2 and Grim Fandango. I trudged through Post Mortem, hating the dialogue and character interrogation, so I avoid games based on this type of gameplay .
There's nothing wrong in knowing exactly what kind of games you like, and buying the games that appeal to you.
