BS3 Box Poll (Again)
Looks like we may have a new box for the opinion.
Choose out of these five: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:http://www.theneb.co.uk/coveruk.jpg(Url due to forum 4 max pic's) Last edited by theneb; 09-12-2003 at 08:58 AM. |

the last one. its the most likely, it keeps in with the site design, and it looks suitably cryptic. the first two game boxes revealed little about the game, and this does the same.

Still #3 for me, but even that one isn't that great. I've never really liked any of the Broken Sword boxes that much.

There isn't as of yet any uk box, but as the uk & german sites are different it is likely. I thru number 5 together.

I think the Adventure Company's box looks the best, though it's far from being astonishing. I hope THQ will come up with a good looking box and not go for one of the designs Theneb posted. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the game so much, the packaging is not that important, as long as the game will be good.

Murray, that's excellent, very clear and precise - they should go with that .

I repeat as before, this is NOT your fecking grandmother's adventure game!! So why the hell should it look like it?
Number 3 from theneb's list, or Murray's posted version, are the best choices.

That globe looks absolutely horrible. You could almost make a better box with MS Word clipart. What the heck is it supposed to be anyway? It looks more like a graphic for a local news network that's on a very low budget

Where has the really cool white and black background with the big dragon logo gone? Change on amazon.com? Such a pity.
I vote None of the above now, or Murrays

Since I've got nothing better to do, I'll add my opinion to the mix.
Number one might be cool if they got rid of the giant ugly faces and replaced them with a silhouette of the dragon or something like that, I'm not a big fan of blown up face shots. The text and the foggy background in number three looks like crap, but I like the dragon allot. The silhouetted street of number four is good, but the rest just mucks it all up. Number five looks like it should be the cover of one of those ISP Frisbees I keep getting in the mail. And Murray's is just a little to plain for my tastes, but with a real faint background image (maybe of number four's street?) it could be real good. I'd go with four if I had to choose right now, but I don't really care as long as the game is good. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a box with a black background, with the bottom of it occupied by photo of Paris at night, as taken from a plane/helicopter (you know, bright lights of buildings forming streets; the Eiffel tower jutting out at, say, 1/3 from the left), fading gradient-wise into the black background so as to take up about 1/4 the height of the box, but none of those 6 boxes would work with that.

They all suck. Well, they don't all suck BADLY, but I'm still dissapointed. I hope people who don't know what Broken Sword is will pick it up.
