Dying to Die in Willy Beamish (ha ha)

This is at Mobygames:

Has anyone ever got this death screen in Willy Beamish. I was sure I knew all the ways to die in that game.

SakSquash 06-12-2005 12:45 PM

I wish I had the game.

It's possible to die in a child's game? :) And that with such a terrifying image...

BerserkerTails 06-12-2005 04:24 PM

Hmmm, I remember there were lots of ways to die in that game (Most of them very amusing), but I don't remember that one. Perhaps try checking GameFAQS or something for a Death List?

...Goes to do that now.

EDIT: No luck. Guess I'm just going to have to play through that game again... Though it'll be tough due to timer issues.

Wow! I have never seen anything like that in Willy Beamish, and I really thought I had seen everything in that game, having played it through at least 20+ times...I can't even imagine what scene would lead to that death screen. I would recommend asking this at SierraGamers.com; please let me know if you find out more.

By the way, Berserker, all the timer issues are fixed with DOSBox.

Unfortunaun tely my fastest computer (A 1.7 gHz) isn't fast enough to run DosBox up to speed with sound. At least, I haven't been able to do it. Oh well... I might be getting my hands on an old 486 within a few weeks. That'd be sure to run it correctly, haha.

You have to press Alt+F12 or something to increase CPU cycles for DOSBox. If I'm not doing this (Athlon 2200+, 1,8 Ghz), it runs at the speed of a machine with a cutting edge 286 processor. Or even slower.

I posted at SierraGamers and they didn't know. They directed me to this thread...

They don't know either, although they entertain some ideas.

They have been in contact before with the guy who posted that at mobygames but it doesn't seem like they've had any luck.
