Does Anyone know of any interesting PS2 games coming up?
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any PS2 or Gamecube games that are going to be made. I'm a real fan of adventure games, however the console market is not historically very good!
I know that Prophesy is due out in September but that is about it! |

Well, Dreamfall is coming out for Xbox late this year. And although many of us here may not consider it an adventure (it's technically more of an action/adventure), Shadow Of The Colossus is also due out later this year for PS2.

Well broken sword 3, and escape from monkey island were released for the PS2 I think. Also on the XBOX, you can play Still Life, Syberia, Syberia 2, Myst IV. I think you can find the original Broken sword on the playstation as well.

Shadow of Destiny/Memories is on PS2. If you can find it, there's also Echo Night: Beyond, a sci-fi horror/supernatural themed first person adventure.

All three Discworld games are on PlayStation and little known Blazing Dragons. There's a Broken Sword on GBA as well.

This game looks very promising, but what happened to the sequel to ICO? I am pretty sure I saw something about this game being in production? |

Excellent I'll look for them too! I think that some of them have not hit the UK yet though!
Thanks |

I don't know if action is a no no, but take a look at Ico, Clock Tower 3, Fatal Frame 1/2, Eternal Darkness(GC only), Silent Hill 2/3/4, or the Resident Evil games. Also, there's a new game called Obscure, although I don't know if it's going to be on GC or PS2. It's already out on PC and is $20. Decent action adventure in the tradition of Resident Evil.
There are other games like this, but those and all those I listed might fall outside of what you're looking for.

What is Prophecy? Is this a console version of the old Sierra game Ween: The Prophecy?

In North America it'll be released as Indigo Prophecy, in Europe, Fahrenheit.

Oh good, I've always thought Fahrenheit was a much better title.
Manhunter: I believe Shadow of the Colossus is the sequel to ICO. Although it's more of a spiritual successor apparently. |

Its a real shame because I think that these games are good fun that anyone can enjoy! There are too many kids playing games like GTA nowadays! |
