Default Empty Lucas Arts Boxes

I have a bunch of old original boxes for several Lucas Arts games. Im gonna be moving soon (And my new wife doesnt think they look as nice hanging on the wall as I do). I was thinking about putting them on e-bay to see if anyone would be interested in a bunch of empty boxes. Yeah, Im keeping the games, just getting rid of the boxes. Do you guys think I should sell em?

Go for it. Though, they may be only worth five bucks each, tops. Assuming you're selling the ORIGINAL boxes, and not ones used for collections. Really up to you whether it's worth the effort though. Monkey Island 1 or 2, Zak McKraken, or Maniac Manison boxes in particular ought to be worth it.

They will either be bought by collectors or... Would scammers have any need for boxes?

Be a man and throw them away. They might look good, but are not important at all. It's just paper. And noone will buy them.
Just throw them away.

Do you have a Zak McKracken box, by any chance? It's the last box I need to complete my collection of LucasArts adventures.

Yeah, I'd pay!

I keep game boxes for a year or two. Then I realize that I hardly ever looked at them and throw them away. They take to much space and have no value for me.

If the choice is between throwing away and selling, what's there to loose? Go ahead, try to sell...

Lots of people throw away the boxes. I have bought a number of secondhand games without boxes because the sellers had thrown them away and I couldn't find copies still in their boxes. If I could find someone willing to sell their empty boxes for a reasonable amount of money, I would be willing to buy them. Just so my games could be in boxes again as they are supposed to.

Have you got the rest of the "guts" as well in there - manuals, cards, etc etc? If so I'd be vaguely interested in a MI1 box I've already got the game but no box.

Do you have the triangular DOTT box? I sold my one (without the CD) a year or so back. It's a real collectible.

Well, there you go.

I think it's definitely worth a shot. Although it depends on how many auctions you plan on starting, 'cause all of them might not sell, and you'd be losing money...(Doesn't it cost something to start an auction? ) Anyway, maybe start an auction for a bundle of boxes...

Well, it seems pretty clear that I may be able to get something for them. Although, honestly,I havent yet decided if I want to get rid of them or not. But, I may decided to keep a few and part with a few.

I have the "Guts" for some of the boxes but not all.

Erwin, I do have a Zak McCracken box, thiugh it's a little squished on the sides. I may be willing to trade it for a copy of a certain comedic sci-fi adventure game!

... so if you have a copy of Space Quest around.... Just Kidding!

Clearly Marko has a more enlightened definition of masculinity than the rest of us...

I am only capable of paying in diamonds, rubies, and golden dabloons. Will this be a problem?

I will only be able to pay in Soy, Pocky/Mikado or Dragonscales. Though I cannot pay you with soy while Iggy is near. I am sure this won't be a problem.

Ooo, ooo, that's a deal! (And another motivation to work twice as hard on finishing the game)
