New Blade Runner?
Hey ppl
I was just wondering..Blade Runner is the best action/adventure ive played and imo one of the best games ever. I liked everything about it; the setting, the graphics (which were PERFECT for that time), the dialogues, the characters, the multiple endings (giving it very high replay value), etc etc But why havent there been any developers trying to improve this genre? All that has come out these last years are Myst rip offs and Cartoon adventures Man i wish they made Blade Runner 2 |

I'd say BR isn't action at all. You can finish the game without killing anybody.

Yeah, Blade Runner is the perfect example of a detective adventure.

1) The public doesn't like it or doesn't care. The product is overlooked --> Years later somebody thinks the idea had great potential but at the time it didn't make enough money so it's a no go... 2) The public loves it! Millions of clones are made. Only a few games have potential. All other games are crap but make a lot of money fast. So more crappy games are being made... etc. So I think the first thing happened... Ok this happens all the time but unlike in the good old days, EVERYTHING is about money. Remember Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire? Show me the money! Nobody has shown Westwood the money...

I always felt Blade Runner was a big piece of crap. But that's just me.

I got stuck every time I gave it another try. Amazing that even hardcore adventure gamers don't disrespect it as being "NOT AN ADVENTURE GAME!!!!!!!1". With all the real-time stuff, guns and absence of badly designed inventory puzzles that game just *has* to suck. Big time.

I knew it. The concept was damn hot, the excecution could've been more challenging. I don't know why I got stuck, but I'm sure it was just because I missed another tiny hotspot.

There are about 5 different occasions where bugs stop progression until you trigger a reset, but apparantly resets only happen when you walk around a place 5 times, or talk to someone 10 times.

Funny, I played the game start to finish at least 10 times and never ran into such a bug. Maybe it's just that you're not that good at

Being good at adventures dictates whether I run into documented bugs?
