I usually log in here expecting a good laugh, a stimulating discussion or just some relaxation. Despite you breaking this uplifting pattern tonight with the announcement , I respect your decision, Stinger. But know we will miss you.
I'd also like to take advantage of this sad opportunity to assure you that the AdventureGamers.com are always THE adventuring site on the net first and foremost. I remember you sometimes used to complain that people come here only to chat on the forums. That was never true. I for one discovered the cosy community (which I'm sure Marek and you took part in creating as well) after recognizing the quality of the main site content. And although I've been following its evolution for just a bit over one year, I do think that you guys get even better over time. The sudden growth of reviews' length and f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s E3 coverage, to name just a few positives. On the behalf of thousands of forum members and the other thousands of nameless site lurkers, I'll just say: Thank you. Happy life, Evan. (Please come by every now and then, if only to tell us what you've been up to.) --AFGNCAAP

Thank you Evan. You have been all that the site could ask for; I've enjoyed reading your articles over the years.
Best of luck to you in the future, and don't forget to come back and visit.

Yes, thanks Evan. You've done so much during the years for this site.
Good luck to you in your life, marriage, work and hobbies. I'm positive that we will hear from you in the future, and one day you will return again as a key player in the adventuregamers.com puzzle.

Yarbles! I bet this is a part of some elaborate ploy to force Marek to pay less attention to the Idle Thumbs. I haven't quite figured it all out, but by god that has to be it!
Even though I hated your fascist guts with unadulterated bile, I respected your power of holding this whole site together for as long as you did. |

Let's dig the old grouphug out of the closet. I was the last to leave the closet, I think I saw it somewhere there in the corner.... There it is!

See.
A true community. This is what Adventure Gamers is about. And that's why I'm here. Evan, regardless of what you do now or in the future, what you have done has made a lasting and profound impression. Best. Kirk |

Yeah, Stinger! Thanks a lot for making us all sad-eyed, mushy pantywaists!

Whoops, missed this thread. Well, for the third time, we'll miss you Evan. Thanks for sticking with AG as long as you did; it was sure a pretty impressive run. Best of luck with everything else in your life and I'll see you at E3.

Hey, I know I haven't been around for a while, but I just had to reply to say this is some sorry news. I fully support your decision (for what it's worth ) and hope you'll come back soon. Good luck man!

Well, it's an important piece of news, but I'm not sad for you. As you said yourself, you won't be gone forever, and this is just another step. So here's to you, Evan/Stinger =)

I know what you mean, about having time to yourself, to work on pet projects and such. I'm glad to hear you're taking time away to work on them, I'll be doing a similiar thing myself next September.
Best wishes Stinger, thanks for all of the work you've put into this website, and I hope everything works out for you. Good luck, and keep in touch. Take care Ray

Thank you Stinger. I really appreciate all the effort you have put into the site. I was mad at first when I started reading your post, but as you explained your reasons, I can totally understand why you feel the need to step down. As a former public accountant, I can sympathize with you about the tax season crunch (free career advice: get out of public accounting!). Recharge those batteries and hopefully we'll see you around here soon.

Thank you Evan. Sincerely. When you stated how long you've been doing this, I felt a little *eeeek* going off, I can't believe you kept it up this long. Not to mention marek, in all this.
I (we) owe you big time.
