Well, I just beat King's Quest VII (blech) and I don't know what to play (replay) next. I have a ton of Ags un touched and just can't decide what to play next. What do you think?

Mystery House
The Wizard and the Princess
Time Zone
King's Quest VIII
Quest for Glory series
Space Quest IV
Gabriel Knight series
Simon the Sorcerer 2
Broken Sword II & III
Beyond Atlantis
Feeble Files
Police Quest series (1-4)

I would say go for the Quest of Glory series. One of my favorite aspects of that series is that you are allowed to carry over your characters from one game to the next. It really made me feel like my character is me!

Out of your list:

Quest for Glory series (great)
Space Quest IV (not bad. one of the weaker games in the series though in my opinion).
Gabriel Knight series (brilliant, especially the first two games).
Simon the Sorcerer 2 (very good)
Broken Sword II & III (both great games).
Feeble Files (very underrated. one of my favourites).
Police Quest series (1-2 are good, 3-4 are reasonable).

I'd recommend playing the Gabriel Knight series first of all. They're some of the very best adventures out there.

Hmm - best ones there are Simon 2 and the Broken Sword games.

You're telling me that you own Broken Sword II & III together with the whole Gabriel Knight series and you haven't played them yet? What are you doing here? Get to work!

I'd go for Gabriel Knight 2. I also loved Police Quest 2

The Gabriel Knight games, then the Broken Sword games, then Simon the Sorcerer 2. Make sure you play the games of each series in order, though ...

I agree with Henke

The GK series is a must for all adventure gamers, as are Simon the Sorcerer and Broken Sword series. I really enjoyed Space Quest as well.

I reckon that Space Quest 4 really isn't that great a game - there are some terribly tricky arcade sections, like the bits where you have to run away from pursuers.

It was so long ago since I played any Space Quest game, so I tend to mix them up. I do remember that they were funny, though, especially if you're a big science fiction fan (like I am).

The Space Quest I remember the most is SQ 6, in which I fell in love with the narrator's voice.

Jack Orlando - The only adventure game ever to get me so frustrated that I never finished it. A shockingly poorly designed game.

You should give it a go.

Simon the Sorcerer 2 is my personal favorite among the games you mentioned, but not everyone likes this game, I guess.
Feeble Files is also great, as well as Gabriel Knight 2.
You're a lucky ... dog.

That was the world's greatest man Gary Owens. He is also the narrator in SQ 4, which I belive is the funniest game ever. That's why I think it's so criticlly acclaimed.

they had the same narrator for space quest 4, and I agree he did a great job (gary owens wasn't it)

Thats one of the things i miss in the new adventure games, almost none of them have narrorators, I still hear the women from The Dagger of Amon Ra "you pick it up and place it in your purse"

Okay, I've desided to play the Quest for Glory Series because I absolutly loved QFG4. After that, I guess I'll play Gabriel Knight.

I have played BS1 and from what I understand the sequels aren't very breathtaking.
