Default Legacy: Dark Shadows Release ???

Does anyone know anything about a release date for Legacy: Dark Shadows? The website (www.legacythegame.com) doesn't seem to have been updated in months, and I had heard on this site a couple months ago that a release date was right around the corner. Is the game company just a bunch of flakes and can't get their game finished, are they having publisher problems in the U.S., or has the game come out already and I missed it?

Any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Well... from what I know is that the game is close to Ăź-testing. I don't think they have found a publisher yet so I don't think this game is released quite soon. As soon as I have more news I will most likely post it here on the forums!

But, don't forget this game... IMO it will be a nice adventure!

I know they're working on it for quite some time, it would be a shame if it never came out! Especially cause they're my folk...

Yes, good news indeed. AG reported that the game was finished, and I'd seen the online preorders, but hadn't heard any official announcement... Now that I have, I can't understand it!

Now I have been investigating this game for a while now and it looks great - my problem is whether it is going to be distributed from somewhere outside the US (ie. Amazon.co.uk, Digital Jesters etc.) as I live in the UK (the Channel Islands in fact). Gamestop.com are charging $15.99 shipping to the UK or $34.99 to the Channel Islands (even though post is minimal between the two) and I am definitely not paying $15.99 shipping, never mind $34.99!

So does anyone know of any other (reasonably priced) distributors ?

Thanks in advance.

My mistake - I started a new thread about it first then saw the existing thread and decided I could probably get away with posting there instead. Is there any way to kill off my existing thread ?

They are probably looking for European distributors too, so maybe it will be released in Europe soon too.

ps. www.dvdboxoffice.com ships free to Europe too, they probably sell it too.

I always order my games and DVD's from www.play.com. I never had to return a game or DVD and the prices are very fair. When the Extended Edition and Collector's Edition of Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring was released on DVD I bought it the day after it's release in a store in Holland. I paid almost 80 Euro's for the Collector's Edition. On play.com the box was advertised for 53 Euro's including shipping... I also orderd TLJ and some other games from play.com for about 20 Euro's. Every game was deliverd in top notch condition...

You can't go wrong with play.com (if you have a credit card).

I agree with you that Play.com are normally pretty good on price and I know their service is good because I have ordered many things from them in the past (although I live about 1 mile from their depot, so although postage is "free" I hardly get the benefit of it!) although I still rate Amazon.co.uk very highly, especially as you can also buy new & secondhand from other sellers through their website. GMX Media will be selling Legacy through their website but probably at a premium.

But the point is that Play.com aren't selling Legacy and neither are Dvdboxoffice.com or Amazon.co.uk - at least not yet...

Actually, I am happy to hear that. I have such a huge backlog of games, I have more time to catch up. Except Ys VI comes out in Feb 05....

That sucks. I wonder if Tri-Synergy's US release has been delayed too?

It's nice that GMX responded to your request, though.

True - I was quite (pleasantly) surprised at that. Shame about the news though - I would be interested to know why the release date has slipped, they're not having much luck with timings on this game!

Thanks Emily (but please don't tell everyone, otherwise I'll come across as incompetent... )

I've never replied to myself before, but here goes:

Having defended them in other threads, I have just been through a nightmare with Play.com (their customer service leaves a lot to be desired) with them sending the wrong thing to me TWICE and 2 weeks late (even though I pre-ordered it 3 months ago ) and they then had the audacity to say that it wasn't necessary available any more and I would have to wait for more stock to arrive!!!

So I have cancelled my account and my other pre-orders with them and told them why - I suppose you only find out how good a company is when things go wrong...
