Default Vote on the next wave of Hype!

You know the drill. Vote for ALL games that you are personally excited about. The voice of the forums (theoretically) will count for 50% of a game's ranking on the Hype-O-Meter. I do apologize if I've left a game you're excited about off the list...but having to make cuts on a list of fifteen upcoming adventure games is a problem I'm happy to have.

Silver Earring is not present because it will be released before our next update.

Just checking in.

Well, that's a new one. May I ask what does excite you?

Although not the person to whom this question was addressed, I can think of two negative answers.

A. Any game that hasn't provided sufficient information to excite me, doesn't.
B. Any game that has provided me with enough information to know I won't be excited by its release is depressing.

Of the list, the only one that even straddles the fence is Westerner, but that's only because I have an interest in its failure. And that excites me.

Failure excites you? Oh man, that's fresh.

You might want to read up a bit on those titles on the list. More closely observed, this list represents the adventure genre in all its variety, seems to be something for everyone. Also, it represents the overall direction the genre is taking - innovation here, refinement there - and I for one am truly excited about that.

uhh-ohhh.....confrontation!!!!! (which is not a bad thing)

i truly don't believe that your not the least bit excited about any of these games. if you weren't then you most likely wouldn't have anything to do with these forums. you have to have at least some interest in one of these games.
adventure gamers probably has the most information about dreamfall on the net and yet you state there isn't enough information to spark your interest. the only way i think you could possibly prove me false is that your didn't like the first game or you just a pessimist in certain ways or others

Why exactly? Old adventure games may interest him, doesn't make him any less of a respected forumite if he doesn't have interest in upcoming adventure games.

Makes him crazy, but a bad forumite? No.

Exactly. With all due respect, rtooney, before you blurt out any further, please read all the information on our main site. You insult us and belittle your face by not doing so and then offering insufficiently informed comment. We have detailed scoops on every single title on the list, as well as some more titles not on the list.

Otherwise, just admit that none of those titles on the list interest you (and help us by stating why), that's all.

I don't understand why A Vampyre Story is so popular. We know very little about the actual game, and from what little we know it seems to be much like Monkey Island 3, which isn't really such a great thing, IMO.

I mean, it's not like I'm not looking forward to see how it turns out, but this game is currently number two overall, beating titles such as Fahrenheit, Still Life, The Moment of Silence and.. well, just about everything except Dreamfall.

Ooo, be careful. You're playing with fire

Personally, it's the most important reason why I voted for it. When was the last time a hand drawn 2D cartoon style adventure came out? There's 3D enough already, I'm craving for something different!
