Rex Nebular: Am I missing something?
Alright, first I'll reveal that I just managed to run the thing by setting the options so it used Roland sound, and conventional memory only. So, no Soundblaster effects, and while I'm not sure if I actually have it, no voice (I only have the floppy version, I'm sure voice has to be for a CD version).
I have yet to work out how to make myself a boot disk, or anything, so this was the best I'm going to get. Anyway, to my point... I played through the game, beat it, and I think I visited all the areas, but if feels like I'm missing out on something. Its just there's a fair number of areas I can't go, and I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on in-game movies. But if FAQs are to believe, I have indeed done it all. Has anyone else played this title, and felt like there's something missing? I mean its great overall, having graphics that are a tad better than Space Quest 5, and seems to mix in a dash of Leisure Suit Larry, but there's so many aspects of this game that seem to go nowhere. Or maybe I'm just venting... Sky Warrior Bob

Wow. I remember playing Rex Nebular.. and the Cosmic Genderbender or something right?
The problem is... I don't remember ONE thing from the game some part where you are floating around and flying around or something. It obviously didn't leave a big impression on me. So, yes, it seems to go nowhere. |

I only remember the game's weird, sometimes plain ugly, artwork.

Actually, for its time, Rex's graphics were pretty nifty. I'd pretty much put it on the same scale as Space Quest 5. The only thing that looks just plain fugly, are the close-up shots.
But of course, pixilating live actors tends to do that. Sky Warrior Bob

I've never heard of this game. Does anyone have a link to some details about the game?

I found this, which has a demo. Although, since the game is pretty dated & for DOS, I'm not sure if you'll get the demo to go. I know that to get it going on my comp, I set it to conventional memory & told it to use Roland sound. Not sure if you can do that in the demo. Warrior Bob Sky
