My favorite internet channel,All your History did a 5 videos special on Adventure Games and how the entire genre begun.It's a pretty good special if you ask me,to know how the entire genre started with text adventure games and developed into massive multimillion productions in the early and mid 90s.

Yes, thank you for the link! Very entertaining and smart material, even though the whole ag history is - again - divided between LucasArts, Sierra and Cyan. But I guess with such level of detail it would take too long to tell everything. Although I thought their commentary about Sierra "making complete garbage" after 95 was unfair. Even their weakest Myst clones were made with care.

Great a very detailed videos about the last 30 or more years ... and giving such big hope through that Tim's kickstarter at the end as a rebirth for the genre.
i guess even if what is Tim amimg for did not get the number of digits those adrenaline pumping games do, it will be a real kick ass for all the other genres, as it proves there are no loyal fans in the world for any Gaming Genre such as the Adventure's ones

Yes,I thought that the "fall" of the genre was a bit unfair.There are dozens of good Adventure games coming out every year.It's just that...the Golden Age of the classics passed.

You guys should check the Bethesda special too and the "Horror of Capcom" ones.Oh the Call of Duty one too,about the creation of infinity ward etc.
They are worth watching 100%.

i think they love to make a hassle of everything the same as anything else in the world ,

remember that Cruise's famous dance on the winfrey's show and how was he criticized about it much as if he had committed suicide there or something ...

it is the same story from the end of the 90's (about Adventure Scene),...blah blah... the Williams sold Sierra ,Lucas stopped making Adventure Game , Adventures are dead...

they always forget about the new generation.a one guys there sitting with a big tommy and a big magazine wants to write an article , and how old is he ... and how many people younger out there he seems to forget of this new generation waiting for a tiny chance to do something/anything ..

i really had enough of that (Falling) of the adventure games ... as long there are people like use demanding it , even if there is no one single Adventure in the Market then Adventures are alive and big time kicking asses..

i was in Athens 10 years ago or so, went there form turkey, from Alexandaria and back the same way all by my father's car and of course using this small ship (it has a name i cant recall) to cross the Mediterranean sea from Alexandria ...


Athens is such lovely city ,
