This thread keeps showing up when I click "New Posts" but there's never a new post when it says that...

But now there are! Well done...
Oh, I'm going to risk off-topic and say that I voted Space Quest without too much conviction, given my small (but real) love for those Quest games.

There's something strange about these poll threads, they always do show up in new posts section, even when there are no new posts in the thread.
Maybe because when someone votes in the poll, the bulletion board system marks the vote as a new post?

Ah, that must be it. I think that might have only started occurring when Doug installed the latest version of VB though...

I voted QFG because, although my first love was the KQ games, it was the QFG games that really stole me away. I loved the light RPG elements, the multiple puzzle solutions, the usual great Sierra humor, and the GREAT atmospheres. All four were amazing in their representation of their respective areas. My favorite was probably the fourth, despite some bugs and fiendish puzzles. Extremely rich games - I remember almost everything!
KQ probably #2, with SQ just behind it. Was too young to play PQ or LSL when they were new - but I just bought them now, so I'll have the opportunity, finally!! |

I'd have to go with Space Quest myself. I find the universe a lot of fun, and the games themselves quite funny. Plus they have lots of cool death scenes. Plus they're some of the few sci-fi adventure games.
Haven't played any QFG games yet, so I can't weigh in on those. I liked the PQ games, but not as much as the SQ ones. KQ6 seems to be the only KQ I like... the rest seem to be giving me a general feeling of "Eh" as I play through them. And the LSL games I've played just don't appeal to me much. High on sophomoric humor, low on wit. They seem to operate on the premise that dirty comments are inherently funny (which IMHO, they aren't). Peace & Luv, Liz

The Quest for Glory games are some of my all-time favorites, easily beating out the others on this list. Every time I play I notice new things. My next desire is to play a single character from first through last game. I too am eagerly awaiting the AGDI remake of QFG2; the screenshots and trailer were brilliant.
As for the rest, I think I have enjoyed KQ the most, followed by SQ and LSL. |
