Trying to remember an old point and click game...
This is going to be obscure, and I really doubt anyone will be able to help.. but i"m gonna try!
It was an old first person, 2D point and click game on PC (I'm gonna say i played it in the mid 90's...) The only scene I can really remember is the main character standing near a stream I believe, and there was what appeared to be a person under the water (I think s/he may have been talking to the protagonist.. I"m not sure.) And if I'm not mistaken you had to throw rocks in the water at this are to be able to cross it, or to get to the thing that was under the water... I know it's all very vague.. but I've been getting back into this genre and I wanna find this game!! |

Sounds like it could be one of the Quest for Glory games.

The only 1st-person game I can think of that has you throw rocks at something is Lighthouse (where I think you have to throw rocks at that annoying mechanical pigeon). But it doesn't really seem to fit the rest of the description...

Shannara
Gateway Companions of Xanth Eric the Unready Yes, I'd say Legend had a thing on streams/brooks/ponds/lakes/rivers...

They seem like good guesses, but if my memory serves right, not the right thing... like I said, it was just that one section near the stream, and the character underwater was like a silhouette sorta thing... the only items I really remember you being able to get are the stones, and a note maybe... the graphics were a little less colorful, and less advanced.. I remember it being a lot of dark, and a lot of red lol... I"m sorry I'm not being much help but this is all I can muster...
