Default Broken Sword style games

Hello gamers!

I'm trying to find games similar to the Broken Sword series. Beautiful hand drawn backgrounds with a gripping storyline. My PC specs aren't the best either so anything that doesn't require and awful lot of ram would be perfect! Any help would be welcome.

Look forward to reading your replies.

The Whispered World for hand drawn but it might be a little heavy for low specs.
there's also the runaway series.
there's also Curse of Monkey Island.

You might like Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis. Not hand-drawn but you are looking after some lost treasure/secret.

Broken Sword is a unique game because it combines a cartoony graphics with a "serious" mystery. You can find another cartoony mysteries, like Tony Tough, but chances are most of them are on the humorous side. Runaway series is the closest thing that comes to mind.

Out of not hand drawn games, there're many, many 3rd person mysteries like - Tunguska, Nibiru, Memento Mori...

Ark of Time is oldie but goodie.

I've completed CMI many times! One of my all time favourites! I haven't head of Runaway though thank you!

Beneath a Steel Sky, an earlier effort from Revolution, is definitely worth a try, especially since it is free. Nice cyberpunk adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously.
You might also enjoy Jack Orlando (very similar graphically, noir story, not very good gameplay), The Gene Machine (good cartoon graphics, steampunk themed and very cheesy) and, umm, well, OK, Hopkins FBI (hated this game, but it has somewhat similar style, detective/fantastic/whatever storyline and some people really enjoy it). I also heard that The Road to El Dorado, the last cartoon adventure by Revolution, wasn't bad.

A New Beginning and Ni.Bi.Ru are closest to Broken Sword I can ever think of. Of Course, if you haven't already played it, I highly recommend the Broken Sword 2,5 - The Return Of The Templars.

Kill, kill, kill!!!

P.S. Clandestiny is another cartoon adventure with a serious plot (although it's not (much of) a mystery but a logical puzzles fest).

I can tell you why, but you'll kill me . Now seriously, maybe it's because occasionally you act a bit violently and violence is (quite unjustly, from my own sad life experience ) atributed to men.

Hehe .
I'm not at all that mucho as my avatar suggests.
But I guess you all figured that out.

You didn't lose much: Clandestiny is a set of mediocre puzzles loosely tied by one of the cheesiest stories possible. Not a good adventure, really. Or maybe I was disappointed just because I wanted to play it so much (had some illusions about it too) and had a lot of trouble to get it (it took me years to do so ).

I can't believe the games mentioned here! NiBiRu? That's like saying Art of Murder is a must play if you like Still Life imo. The only series that I think even comes close to Broken Sword is the Secret Files series. It's very well made high adventure (lost relic, ancien mysteries, villains who want to blow up the world etc...) that I would easily recommend to anyone. The only downside is that it's not very well voiced at times though I found this far less troublesome than some other people.

Some good suggestions here thank you! I'd like to play Runaway but I think I'd have issues playing it on Windows 7. My King Quest 1-7 pack didn't work on it as well as my Discworld Noir. A bit of a joke really.

Whoopsie!!!
corrected myself.

@zobraks:no need to cover my mistake....i'll follow your mucho example and take it like a man.
