Ace Attorney 5 announced in Japan.
 

This may be the first title in the main series that the West will not see. ;(

The gist I was able to garner from the articles is that Ace Attorney 5 was announced and a Ace Attorney 1 - 3 HD Collection was announced for the iOS.

That's disturbing, though I suppose not surprising given the fate of AAI2. Hopefully they'll turn about some day. :P

It'd be sad if it's only released in Japan... I do like those games. I mean, I'm going to get a 3DS just because I want to play the crossover game when it comes out...

There is a HUGE number of Japanese adventure games that do not get released outside of Japan. We see a few of them. I will get this game if it is released in my country.

I'm playing 'Hollywood Crimes' on my 3DS right now - an adventure game exclusive to the 3DS. The jump in graphics is huge. It is an amazing game from a graphics and sound point of view. I will buy more adventure games on the 3DS.

Luckily, several franchises have said they are doing 3DS adventure game sequels like the next 999 game. The creepy Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir will be released in North America.

Another 999 game? Oh man... I guess I'd better start saving for a 3ds...

Though it sucks if it doesn't come out here, on the positive side the Ace Attorney series is popular enough that it'll probably swing a fan translation of some type. A team has been working on the second Edgeworth game for some time now though they probably won't be done until the end of the year if then.
