What are your most anticipated 2012 adventure games?
What are your most awaited games for 2012?
Here are mine, I'm very excited for all of them: Bracken Tor The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle Asylum The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Considering they are all scheduled to come out around the same time (except Bracken Tor, who knows when that will come out), it's going to be an intense period of gaming... |
The only 2012 game I'm REALLY anticipating isn't even an adventure game, but an RPG, Mass Effect 3.
As for adventure games, I'll keep an eye out for any new Professor Layton or Ace Attorney games for the DS, as well as Secret Files 3 and Jack Keane 2. And for all the rest, I'll just wait until the reviews start pouring in, so I can make a selection of the games that I know I'll like the most... |

I am also looking forward to Lucius and Prominence - which reminds me in some aspects Mission Critical. |
It's good to see there are some great adventure games coming out next year. I'm looking forward to all of the games (except Mass Effect 3 which totally lost my interest after Dragon Age 2 and Origin) mentioned above as well.
But the one I'm probably most looking forward to is Das Schwarze Auge: Satinavs Ketten from Daedalic. |
Samorost 3 looks promising for me.

Botanicula and Samorost 3 by the great Amanita team
The Last Crown by Master of Darkness Jonathan Boakes. Deponia by my favorite German developer Daedalic. Preordered! :D |
The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/620/18860.th.jpg Why? Because Black Mirror 2 was above average game, AND because there's a lack of historical based titles. Deponia http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/9581/deponia3.th.jpg Why? Daedalic! The Satinavs Ketten http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/4...enshot5.th.jpg Why? Daedalic! Also, i'm really interested to see how those screenshots will look in motion. Jack Keane 2 http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/7...2teaser.th.jpg Why? Because the first one is an ok, slightly overlooked game, like all Deck13 titles. The Journey of Iesir http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3...hot01vx.th.jpg Why? Because it promises to be one of the better underground adventures, in the vein of LucasArts, with nice graphics and plot. |

Mainly
Also waiting for:
|
None. Nada. Zilch. Nowt. Nothing.
Action and Action/Adventures on the other hand... |
Asylum
The Witness Ben Jordan 8 is promised to be released this Christmas, but who knows... Nelly Cootalot 2 Botanicula and Samorost 3 Gabriel Knight 4 from Telltale Games ;) btw Did I mention how I'm really tired of sequels? Hopefully they'll be great, but also something completely different and unexpected will manage to top them. :) I'm not forgetting about Deadlic, Boakes and King ART (Book of Unwritten Tales) - I simply haven't finished all their previous games yet, so I better don't rush into the new ones. |

Personally I'm only waiting for Asylum and The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle. |

Don't take me wrong, I respect Telltale, but a fact that it keeps exploiting one startegy and one design pattern for every single game is a fact. And to make things worth, it is now overloaded with different projects. I don't wish Jane to work in such conditions. |
All of the above.
|
I will celebrate the day when Telltale stops making games. I've always hated their direction of art from the bottom of my soul - not to mention the horrible interfaces in teir games. I've tried their products few times, but no matter what, there is not going to be the "next time" for me anymore. Not even with a 50ft pole.

Sadly, only two.
