The name of a classic 2D adventure game - need help

Hi there! There was a game I've played 10 +/- years ago and I have no idea what's it's name. Could you guys help? All I remember is that it was a 2D cartoon styled fantasy adventure game. The world was consisted of 'circles' each of them was, like, another planet. The main character (a boy), was starting on the farmost circle, and he had to get to the very middle, I don't know why though, can't remember anything from the plot. I guess it was a light and a bit humoreus story, something like Simon the Sorcerer.... Anyone?
