No Carol Reed adventure this year?
For the past 7 years we were treated to a new adventure of my favourite sleuth Carol every year. This year, however, it seems she hasn't found a case to solve. Does anyone know what's going on at MDNA games? I sent Mr. Nykvist an email in July in which I offered myself as a beta-tester but I never got an answer.

As of a month or two ago there was still a new one in the works, so I expect it's coming, just perhaps a bit delayed. MDNA usually flies under the radar until a few weeks before launch, so it may even be sooner than you think.

The Blue Madonna
I too enjoy playing Carol Reed Mysteries. I think the last one was the Blue Madonna and it came out this year and not to long ago. I could be wrong but I remember playing it not to long ago. Yeah it's a 2011 game reviewed by this website and they gave it 3.5 stars. So no new ones since then that I know of.

Doesn't seem like a year since Blue Madonna. Renna is correct.
Anyway, I await the next as well. A real treat each game! |

I am pretty sure that I bought Blue Madonna late in December 2010 and played it the first week of January 2011 so if Mikael releases his next game by the end of this year he will still be on his once a year schedule. His games are very enjoyable...especially since hi has abandoned the water color wash and we can enjoy his beautiful photography talents.

It wouldn't be Christmas time without a new Carol Reed Game!
I'm so glad I'll be able to put it on my list. The games are some of my favorites. Just checked the site ant there isn't any mention of it yet. Last edited by Dara100; 10-11-2011 at 10:59 AM. |

I only played the demo of one Carol Reed game.. I think it was Blue Madonna (swedish ruins if I remember).. and I didn't fancy it much. Lots of walking around to move between locations, and objects blended into the background were what turned me off.
Is it worth giving it another go? Which is the best one in the series? |

If you don't like the walking around and objects in the background then maybe Carol Reed is not for you. In my opinion the later games are the best. So if you still want to try, try one of the later games.
