There was this game that was set in the London museum, if I'm not mistaken, that you only had one hour to complete.I believe you were playing a burglar.
It's been a long time since I played it, so the particulars are vague. |

Yeah ... a time limit game doesn't sound that fun to me. The fun part is more about characters moving around on a set schedule and events happening whether or not you're there.
I remember another one that has both, now that I think about it. The Space Bar. It was pretty fun, but the strict time limit made things frustrating. It's been a long time since I've played that though, so maybe I'm mistaken about the "real time" aspects. |

I didn't finish Traitors Gate, but you have many hours, at least 10.
The Space Bar is another favorite of mine. Lovely Meretzky humor and bizar creatures. You have all the time in the world when you play as one of the characters in the bar. But the "time" (number of turns, not a real-time clock) spent in the bar as yourself, the human cop, adds up and chances are you run out of time in the end. Stressful, since you don't really know how much time you need. Great game though. Underrated. |

And don't forget Countdown, an early adventure from Access. You had only 96 hours to finish it!
