I'm having a ball with Starship Titanic, playing with the furniture in my room. Love the weird humor, the graphics, the voiceacting, everything so far. Complicated gameplay, but I'm getting the hang of it. At least I think I am.

Why can't modern adventures be just as unique and different as Starship Titanic?

I'm glad you like it! I played it twice.

Who knows? Maybe because there aren't many people like (late ) Douglas Adams.

Please, please play Death Gate next.
It doesn't get much better than this game, as far as classical adventuring is concerned.

Hehehe... believe it or not, I actually remember how much you liked Death Gate.
Yes, I will play it next. And then I will play Hotel Dusk. And then Heart of China. And after that I will post another "what should I play next" thread.

It was a flop. Most surreal games are sadly, and even the Myst series went from very surreal to - in essence - fantasy like. ST had a complex, unusual interface and difficult puzzles to boot.

But I can join the club of those who remember this game very fondly, if that helps anything.

Death Gate is wonderful too, though it's much more accessible and traditional kind of game in comparison.

The only real surreal game I can think of right now is my old favorite Obsidian. Please feel free to recommend others.

The puzzles in ST are getting harder, I'll probably find myself consulting a walkthrough pretty soon.

Human being, isn't it? Yes, well... one hears mixed reports...

I don't have an audio book, does it come with the game or are you talking about the original story by Douglas Adams?

It came with my game. I got a big boxed version years ago, it had an audio book, strategy guide etc...
