Well, here's another wild, wild guess!
No. 10: Spoiler: I think 29 is from a well-known classic game, and 16 does seem familiar, especially the wall pattern, but still, my brain cogs are in vacation at the moment! I think there may be a globe of a Verne game in here somewhere... EDIT: Oh forgot, how's the kidney? Last edited by kate me; 05-12-2011 at 08:12 AM. |

No to 10. and 12.
Actually, I'm not sure if I'll have enough pics to warrant a second globe quiz (I probably should have made two smaller quizzes instead! ) *hands diego some ointment* Hints for the remaining pics: 1. Even in the full screenshot, the globe is probably the most colourful item in the scene... not counting the shop owner! 4. Pedestals similar to the one on which this globe sits appear somewhere in the AG Scene Game thread. 10. Despite having a director's cut, this game still disappointed me. 12. Mesdames et messieurs, c'est un jeu d'aventure qui a lieu en France. 13. A globetrotting sequel. Quote:
22. This game's protagonist needed the globe owner's astrological skills. 24. Despite the appearance, this game has a futuristic setting. (A few years older than Road to India, diego! ) 29. Quote:

Since kate me doesn't want to take a point is #16 by any chance
Spoiler: BTW, and slightly connected to the theme - what do you think of "world travelling" or "globetrotting" games? You know, the Indiana Jones or "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" style ones? I've always found them enjoyable with last one in true vein of it being Lost Horizon. If it wasn't for such games, i'd never could feel a glimpse of some far-away land or culture that i'd never have chance to visit, even being it in the virtual sense. But some games really do justice by doing a great research of those areas, buildings, people.. that you can almost feel yourself as a tourist I've never been in Turkey for example, but having played Byzantine: The Betrayal i can almost say i did Last edited by diego; 05-14-2011 at 04:22 AM. |

Here's the best of the kind (at least the best I know about), great game full of quizes and action. My favo(u)rite globetrotting adventure .

And if life was a little like an world traveling adventure game than I wouldn't be here typing! You rarely get any money topic come up when traveling in adventure games... Anyway, I DO love that sort of games and the possibility to see even virtually, some of the locations I would like to visit. |

venir = to come, but venir de + infinitive form of another verb => to express recent completion of an action, i.e. "just ___-ed" mettre = to put, but mettre Ã* jour = to update 'bonnes réponses' literally means "good answers" That was everyone's French grammar lesson for the day. ( to online translators!) We now return you to your regularly scheduled quiz. Thank you. 12. and 16. finally guessed correctly! Here are wider shots of the remaining pics: 1. 13. 22. (view rotated slightly from original pic) 24. 29. BTW, geography was one of my better subjects in school, and one of my hobbies as a kid was mapmaking (both real and imaginary places). I love the challenge of mapping an adventure game location, you should see all the ones I've made as part of my regular AG note-taking process (especially the RHEM games! ) Although it's been a few years since I played A Quiet Weekend in Capri, I still want to take a vacation there.
