Can't remember this game! Please Help :(

ok...my wife is trying to remember a game from her childhood, but we are having no luck. Her memory of the game is very weak. This was a game she used to play on the PC possibly around 1994. She believes it to be very similar to Maniac Mansion, but we dont think it was that game. She thinks it had "newer" graphics. She is pretty sure she used the arrow keys to move the character, not the mouse. Ok, here is the only part she really remembers ....at one point in the game, two dogs appear in the main room, and the goal is to make it upstairs before to dogs eat you. She believes she had to go in the kitchen and get a steak(or it could have been a bone from the backyard), then QUICKLY throw the object to the dogs before they attack you. You then could make it upstairs safely.

I told her maybe she was dreaming, but if anyone thinks they know what game this might be, it would be very helpful. Thanks!

It doesnt fit the description perfectly but it could be Hugo's House of Horrors.

Not a problem. Wasn't a bad description of the game to be honest. At least you know your wife isn't cracking up.
