Well here goes nothing. It's very unlikely but is it detective Lewton from Discworld Noir of course?

, not games, and that's singular which means it doesn't include Discworld Noir but only the first Discworld. Plural would be more like: "It's not a character from any Discworld game", or, "It's not a character from (any of the) Discworld games"
So, just a misunderstanding, not me not paying attention. Name: mad.gif

If it's indeed something like a "suck up, a$$ kisser, brown noser" , then how about this guy:

Diego, you've got the profession right, just not the game(series)
I doubt many people have come across this character as most people stop playing this game after several hours because they find it tedious. I disagree.
If that's not enough clues

@SweetDalilah: I wasn't being sarcastic, I love Discworld and any character from it is like a tiny timewarp for me. (been aprox 2 years since I last read a novel)

Well that's nice to hear. I am playing Discworld Noir right now, and I do consider it one of the better games I played (already).

Well this is probably not him, but sence this is the only pirate game I played, not counting Monkey Island, I'll guess One Eye from So Blonde

I must confess that Discworld Noir is the only Discworld game that I've played. And I haven't read all the books either. So I'm not really the greatest Discworldfan in the world but I love reading them from time to time and being reminded of them.

And the character is not One Eye nor any other character from So Blonde(I haven't played the game) Lap Dog is his actuall name. And it's not a pirate game per sé. There just happen to be a few in it.

Is it Jack Orlando (not the character, but the game)? If it is, I still can't figure what character you are referring to..!

So Blonde? One of the pirates on the dark side of the island? I'm thinking the big one that is 2nd in charge...

Edit

Darnit! I skipped over the new replies after seeing Diego's pic, because I thought I knew it... that'll teach me!

None are correct
It's a cartoonish comedy from the last 10 years. A lot of people found it tedious and liked it's sequal a lot better wich I found a bit of a let down.

Another character from the same game
Husky Hound

If that doesn't ring any bells. I don't know what will

Runaway 2?

If that's it, I liked A road adventure more then the other 2. I'm one of the exceptions!

That's it! Lap Dog and Mangy Pooch are the two pirates chatting above the captain's quarters who throw sunflower seeds down.

I liked Runaway 2 the best and 3 the least. Allthough the chapter with the pirates was a bit cheesy and redundant.

Maybe one of the King's Quest games. Couldn't tell which one though.

Nope.
This is not from a series! There was a plan to make a second game but it never was made.

Can I ask if it's a newer or older game?
