Official AG forums Kaptain Brawe giveaway!
It’s not often our devoted forumites end up with one of our contest prizes (at least, not that we can tell), so today we’re going to do something a little different. Courtesy of Cateia Games, we are pleased to offer you – and only you! – the chance to win a free downloadable copy of Kaptain Brawe: A Brawe New World from GamersGate. There is one PC version and one Mac version available, so two lucky contestants will walk away with this very enjoyable sci-fi comic adventure. What’s the big deal about Kaptain Brawe? If you have to ask, you haven’t been paying much attention, but it’s never too late to discover a good thing. Our recent interview with the developers will give you plenty of insight about the game and its background, and our shiny new 4-star review should offer plenty of incentive to find out more for yourself. When a game compares favourably to both Monkey Island 2 and 3, you know you’re onto something special. Normally we make people answer three mind-blowingly difficult quiz questions to be eligible for a prize, but since the forums are a more personal, relaxed place, we’ll just lob a single mental grenade your way. So for your chance to win, all you need to do is send me a PM and correctly identify the character picture below, complete with the proper spelling of his name. (Just because Kaptain Brawe can’t spell worth beans doesn’t mean we don’t have to!) If you’re interested in the Mac version, please specify that as well. If not, we’ll just assume you’re looking for the PC prize. If you’re interested in either version, that’s fine, too. That’s twice the chance to win! Who am I? Needless to say, please do NOT name the character in this thread. It ain’t rocket science, but it’s supposed to be fun. Winners will be randomly selected in one week’s time, on Monday, November 22nd. And since we’re not dealing with confidential personal details this time, winners will be posted here at that time. Good luck! |

Feeling really stupid to admit it...
The first time I saw the title of this game, I thought you were supposed to pronounce it in a special way. |

Damn, this is what I get, being the reading silent type. I read these forums multiple times per day and only post stuff when I feel I have to say something. Now I can't send pms to enter the contest I'll make myself feel better by telling myself i wouldn't have won anyway.

Actually, Tamiil, as of your last post, you probably can now. Try again.

And we have a winner! Two winners, in fact. Congratulations to the following people for correctly naming Rowboat as Kaptain Brawe's badly-misspelled robot:
PC version: Shany Mac version: bandidoquest (Look for my PM for download details.) Thanks to Cateia Games for the contest prizes, and to all who participated. For those who didn't win, maybe next time! |
