A prequel?! Let them finish the original story already!

I was just about to post the same news.
So, the sequel will have been finished by next fall at the earliest? I'll definitely pick up the prequel "episodes" in one package when the PC version becomes available (hoping for a retail edition), but still, it's pretty disappointing they're not focusing on the sequel... They need additional funds, it certainly looks like it. |

Bleh, just a cheap cop out to reuse the old backgrounds and models and have an excuse for being extremely late in giving us episode 2.

I'll definitely be giving the PC version a try. AVS1 had its problems but I have hope they'll fix it.

interesting, although I'm not going to get my hopes up. AVS was a good game but far, far too short (felt more like a playable demo than a full game, even an episodic one) and if the Year1 games will be even shorter...
also found the mention of the vocal casting a bit odd, it's been a while since I played it but I remember actually liking her voice, it fit her rather naive and air-headed character quite well

Does anybody know whatever happened to this? Is it still in development?

The series is still being worked on. The reason it is going so slowly is because it is an independent production and the small team that is developing it is doing so between paid gigs. Bill Tiller's Twitter occasionally makes mention of Year One's progress.
