No, not as simple as that :)
The game is relatively new (post 2000), is a sort-of sequel, dark in tone and has two playable characters who never actually meet. |

Just to keep things moving I will guess Broken Sword. But that's clearly not the right answer but the only multi playable character game I can remember.
