Just guessing... Memento Mori?

Trunkyo 04-12-2011 10:35 AM

Yes, both quotes are from Memento Mori. The first quote is by Max reading his (translated) notes, and the second is spoken by the narrator at the beginning of Act VIII. Your turn, Shany! :)

Shany 04-12-2011 11:45 AM

Is Memento Mori good? Those quotes sound kinda pretentious, but maybe they work better in context?

Anyway, next quote (the easiest one I could remember).

"My hands are clean, ma"

rayvio 04-12-2011 01:18 PM

Memento Mori is pretty good, it's not perfect but it is enjoyable. as for the quote, going to guess willy beamish

gray pierce 04-12-2011 03:14 PM

For me Memento Mori was a huge let down. It starts off rather promising but soon get tiresome, then towards the end it gets really exciting but the payoff is totally riduculous and leaves you with a very nasty feeling in your stomach(and I had the "happy" ending)

Anyways that's just my opinion

Shany 04-13-2011 03:46 AM

Not Willy Beamish, newer. The quote is said sarcastically.

Shany 04-14-2011 03:30 AM

I'll give another hint.
The game is part of a very famous series.

DustCropper 04-14-2011 03:50 AM

I know the quote is definitely made by
Spoiler:
Gabriel Knight

but I can't remember if it's from
Spoiler:
Sins of the Fathers or Blood of the Sacred

Shany 04-14-2011 04:50 AM

I've only played the third one, so... GK3 it is!
He says it when you try to use the sinks in the hotel.

DustCropper 04-14-2011 07:18 AM

Haha, yes I distinctly remember it being said by Tim Curry. My hands are clean, Maaaaa.

Well I haven't played a game recently enough to remember an exact quote, so I'll just throw out an easy one that comes to mind (sorry if it's already been used).

"No point going down there."

Yep! One of the more annoying lines from the game, they'll haunt me forever! :P

Psychocandy 04-14-2011 01:56 PM

Good stuff! Next quote: :)

"I really don't want to go in the ocean..."

diego 04-14-2011 02:46 PM

Hmm.. i'm not sure but i'll guess So Blonde?

Jon_wachter 04-14-2011 03:56 PM

So Blonde sounds right, but just in case it's not. I am going to go with Tales of Monkey Island ep 1, I think it was called The Screaming Narval or something, when Guybrush is on flotsome island is what I mean.

Psychocandy 04-15-2011 04:48 AM

Nope! ;)

harald 04-15-2011 05:07 AM

Curse of Monkey Island! I heard that one many times...

As did I! :D Correct.

harald 04-16-2011 10:19 AM

Okay, this one might be very easy if you find the whole conversation as memorable as I do, or it might be too generic to place. I'll post the next line of the exchange if you need more clues:

"Don't push, old man. I'm warning you!"

In Bad Mojo's intro Roger says to Eddie:
Quote:

Don’t push me, old man! I said you’ll get it in the morning.
Perhaps you misquoted that.
