Sam & Max Hit the Road?

Luna Sevithiainen 06-17-2010 01:24 PM

This sounds so familiar...

Is it The Abbey?

Origami 06-17-2010 01:56 PM

Owh I know that one....at least I know a game that used that sentence;
Dreamfall.

Okay back to MINE again >=(

Yep, well done, it is indeed Dreamfall. That sentence is right at 04:13

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z89kgAZKaR4

Back to yours. :)

rayvio 06-17-2010 02:15 PM

might be less confusing if we just stick to the format of one quote to guess at a time and the winner gives the next one, instead of several different ones all being guessed

Origami 06-17-2010 02:26 PM

Okay...so the winners quote is "Here ya go baby, dinner time!"

I am being quite intrusive with my quote, but I just have trouble comprehending no one would know this quote. I think it's safe to assume almost everyone here has played the game.

hint 2: three degrees of Indiana Jones

DustyShinigami 06-18-2010 01:50 AM

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis?

If it is, I don't recall the quote.

Origami 06-18-2010 01:52 AM

No....it's not from any Indiana Jones game. It is however...indirectly connected to him. But this hint might be obscure if you look in the wrong direction.

Shall I reveal it or do people still want to try and guess it?

Little Writer 06-18-2010 02:20 AM

I finally succumbed and googled it. Haven't played it. I see the Indy connection, though ;)

Origami 06-18-2010 03:07 AM

^
Really? I tried to see if my quoute could be googled, but no results.

J.H 06-18-2010 03:16 AM

Please for the love of God tell us what it is lol.

Origami 06-18-2010 03:35 AM

Okay *sigh*...but only if I can be together with Sheeta!

It's from Blade Runner.
You hear the quote when you click on your dog at your home. Everyone at least clicked like 5 times throughout the game I am sure. So you should've known the quote if you played the game. =P

You have to write "you" instead of "ya", then the line shows up in some other forum.

Twizman 06-18-2010 08:24 AM

Great thread! : )

"Grump-Frump knows a tasty treat / It matters not what others bleat! / No danger is this one so sweet!"

Luna Sevithiainen 06-18-2010 09:33 AM

King's Quest VI, those lovely sensing gnomes...

KasiaD 06-23-2010 05:33 AM

If nobody has a new quote here's one:

"A hundred dollar not lot for a fancy lady like you"

tsa 06-23-2010 05:50 AM

Wasn't that the guard in Broken Sword 2?

Syberia?

KasiaD 06-23-2010 09:54 AM

yes syberia :)
very funny un-syberia conversation with the sailors

Psychocandy 06-24-2010 10:58 AM

Next quote:

"Hey Nick, I just committed a felony!" ;)

HitBattousai 06-24-2010 11:12 AM

The Secret of Monkey Island, happens above Guybrush while he's enjoying some time with the fishes.

Moment of Silence? :)

HitBattousai 06-24-2010 01:02 PM

Nice one. You're up again it seems.

terhardp 06-24-2010 10:59 PM

I've just stumbled across this thread. Nice idea!

Here's two from me.

"I'm a victim of society!"

"She has a good bone structure. Has she any brains?"

I think they're fairly easy, at least, the first one. I couldn't think of anything else at the moment.

The first sure sounds familiar but I can't place my finger on it. The second quote is from Broken Sword 2.

Here's mine:

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine

Should be pretty easy.

Origami 06-25-2010 03:33 AM

^
Yeah....finally again one I know!

Grim Fandango.

I am not gonna let you touch it NO!.....I am gonna let it shine.

Psychocandy 06-25-2010 09:59 AM

Still my turn, right?

If so, then here's the next quote:

"Then there was that time he dressed up as an angel, and..."

Possibly a Sam and Max quote?

Sanitarium may be?

Fantasysci5 06-28-2010 02:07 PM

Nah, it sounds like it's from a comedy game.

Origami 06-28-2010 02:54 PM

I am gonna say Grim Fandango.

skeeter_93 06-28-2010 09:38 PM

Runaway Twist of Fate? Sounds Gabbo-ish...

Not from a comedy game. The full quote (from what I can recall) is:

"Then there was that time he dressed up as an angel, and... he did not have a string on his bow!" :)

Origami 06-29-2010 12:26 PM

Gabriel Knight?

skeeter_93 07-02-2010 02:59 AM

Postmortem?

KasiaD 07-02-2010 03:15 AM
