Ah, not a cartoonish comedy but nonetheless a game I haven't played. I know shame on me for all eternity but somehow for some stupid reason I can't get over the whole FMV aspect:crazy:

skeeter_93 08-28-2010 08:38 PM

I can't believe I just finished playing that game and didn't get the quote!

zobraks 08-29-2010 07:19 AM

How could you forget it (?) - it's such a memorable quote http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/q..._opanachke.gif.

If I'd seen the 2nd quote in time it might have jogged my memory... Ah well, I like playing along with everyone anyway :)

tsa 08-29-2010 06:42 PM

What's the new quote Intense?

Intense Degree 09-01-2010 05:08 AM

Whoops, lost track of this thread!

New quote:"You speak very good English for an American!"

I guess this one won't take too long!

@Sughly - Do try and keep up old boy! ;)

Trunkyo 09-01-2010 05:16 AM

Broken Sword 1, said by Nico to George when they first met. :D

Intense Degree 09-01-2010 05:38 AM

Yep, that's right!

I think 8 minutes must be some kind of record! :D

Trunkyo 09-01-2010 05:41 AM

I think a few other quotes have been guessed even faster... :o

Next quote:

"You don't look like a burglar to me. I think the lover boy has given you the key."

Besides the name of the game, you also need to tell me who said the above lines, and to whom!

Shany 09-01-2010 09:37 AM

That's Legacy: Dark Shadows. Remixed in the end credits for whatever reason.

Someone to Ren, I guess? Never played the game.

Trunkyo 09-01-2010 11:06 AM

OK, OK, close enough, Shany! :) Yes, these lines were spoken by the "lover boy" marshal's fiancée to the main character, Ren Silver after she wandered into the marshal's apartment.

(I just wanted to see who besides me actually played this horrible game, instead of just Googling the lines. ;) Now, if only I could get the stupid song unstuck from my mind! Ack!!!)

Go ahead, Shany!

Shany 09-01-2010 01:43 PM

Actually, I heard the song in an article about weird songs in adventure games.

I want to use a few quotes I have as sound files on my computer (most of them are very easy), but it will take a while to set up.

So, does anyone want my turn for now?

diego 09-01-2010 01:56 PM

Ok, here's one:

Y'know, if I weren't a peaceable sort, I'd whack that gentleman over the head with one of my sticks.
And I wouldn't stop whacking until his brains leaked all over my rustic, hand-polished, hardwood floor.
Ayup.

But you're a peaceable sort, right?

Ayup.

And Shany, i'd like too see that article :P

Shany 09-01-2010 02:32 PM

diego 09-01-2010 02:53 PM

Thanx, good read - Limbo of the Lost  :D

Trunkyo 09-01-2010 05:55 PM

Escape from Monkey Island (Freddie the walking stick maker talking with Guybrush)?

Brimstone 09-01-2010 06:10 PM

That's an easy one. It's from Escape from Monkey Island after Ozzy Mandril leaves the first time you enter the place. It's a short conversation between Guybrush and the cane salesman.

diego 09-01-2010 06:25 PM

And we have a... uhm.. two winners? :)

Trunkyo was slightly faster so he should continue although good work from both - it's indeed Freddy speaking about Ozzy.

Trunkyo 09-01-2010 07:52 PM

Thanks, diego. "Ayup" was a dead giveaway. :)

Here's another easy one:
"He who remembers nothing, tells nothing and regrets nothing."

skeeter_93 09-03-2010 07:32 PM

I have no idea... could we get a clue? Unless someone has a guess?
