Default Maupiti Island: Dissected And Fixed

I remember that Maupiti Island or perhaps Lankhor games in general have been briefly discussed in this forum. You might be interested then to read my mega-review of this fine adventure which also includes a patch that fixes a long-standing nasty bug in the game:

http://www.slightly-deranged.com/?page_id=1328

You can also show some love to Maupiti and get the game officially from DotEmu:

This is really, really one of the most underrated adventures ever (if not the most one). Hope you enjoy the read!

Thanks very much for the patch Agustin, and also for an excellent, and enjoyable, perspective on Maupiti Island.

Jacques.

Thanks!

It should be noted that the patch has been integrated in the DotEmu download, so you're already safe if you get it now.

I have recently downloaded a music pack from Lankhor site, and the main theme variation (maupiti title.mp3) is simply ingenious.

How come that all versions of the game are free to download from Lankhor, and yet are being sold by DotEmu? I'm confused.

By the way, the review is great. Thank you, Agustin, for evocating so many nice memories.

I'm very glad you guys liked the review! It was amazing to find that Maupiti Island isn't that much of a rare adventure after all

Apparently, Lankhor.net has permission from the owners to distribute their games. As a matter of fact, I did get permission too but refrained from posting the game when I found that DotEmu was selling it again.

If they have given permission and it appears so:
