I almost pulled the trigger on LA Noire but I read about the multiple layers of DRM. Do not want.

Is the DRM very bad? [also, does the boxed version have the DRM?]

I don't remember any DRM at all in my Steam copy of L.A. Noire except it logging into Rockstar's social club thing when you launch the game (unintrusive though). Does it have more than that?

LA Noire on PC has 3 layers of DRM.
1. Steam - people love Steam for organizing their games and automatically updating them. It doesn't do anything malicious or secret like SecuROM, but it is a type of DRM nonetheless (one with which people are okay). 2. Rockstar Social Club - more or less an annoying login service like Games for Windows Live. Requires an always on internet connection. 3. Gameshield - the real culprit. Scary thing is that there isn't much information about what it does. Machine/activation limits are unknown, as are any possible revoke/removal tools http://steamdrm.flibitijibibo.com/the-big-drm-list/ I don't want to threadcrap. I have enough of a problem with having games tied to Steam (which is why I've only purchased a couple of games on there over a few years, and the rest have been activated through indie bundles). However, Steam doesn't screw with your hardware or hide anything. SecuRom, Tages, SolidShield, Gameshield, etc. are the types of ridiculous software that are intrusive and extremely difficult to remove. I refuse to allow any of this stuff onto my computers. Even if it means I can't play awesome games, so be it. Not the end of the world. (sorry for derailment, back to deals)

I hope this is the right place to post this.
After 5 years of selling hundreds of my Adventure Game collection I have come down to the end. Check out my Ebay Auctions for some of what I have left. There may be something you are interested in. Except for A.D.2044 (Italian version) the auctions are for USA only...sorry. But if you are not from the US and are interested in something that doesn't sell just let me know and will be happy to ship anywhere. http://www.ebay.com/sch/conameche/m.html?hash=item4ab28d344b&item=320823178315&pt=Vi deo_Games_Games&_trksid=p4340.l2562

The full season of Back to the Future for the PS3 is now completely free for Playstation Plus subscribers. I guess I should have waited.
Here's hoping Jurassic Park gets the same treatment in a few months. |

Funny, I am from the Netherlands and it says we get a 75% discount which brings the price down to 2.24 euros, which is roughly 3,50 dollars.

I don't know much about it (though it gets good reviews on the App Store), but the adventure game Mystery Mania is free on the App Store right now (free free).

The first episode of Law & Order: Legacies is free for iOS on the App Store now for a "limited time". I'll give it a try.

The 7th Guest has been released on GOG.com and is $7.99 ($2 off) for the next couple of days. I'm not sure what pricing outside of the US is, but I assume it's on sale everywhere.

I found a cheap place to pre-order Deponia for £12.99, It might be UK only.
Beats Amazon's £17.99 price. |
