Default New Reviews of old games.

Greetings Adventure Game fans,

One of the things that makes the adventure game community unique among other genres is our revrance for older games. As we all know many of the best regareded games in the genre are from the late to early 90s. As a result many of the reviews you can find on these games wear done at the time the game was released or written by someone who first played it at that time. This creates a problem for a gamer looking to discover an old classic or introduce someone to a classic for the first time. What was cutting edge in 96 may seem dated today. It would be nice if their was a place someone could go to find reviews of older adventure games written by people who have just played the games for the first time recently.

You mean like Adventure Gamers?

This site does a lot of "flashback reviews" of old games. The reviews database shows what year the game came out and when it was reviewed.

Mobygames has user reviews too. The quality is inevitably going to be a mixed bag but you can often get a good, modern perspective of a game from them.

I just recently reviewed Nibiru and Eye of the Kraken and will probably do more old games.
