House of Tales
I am sorry if this has already been posted, but it seems that the two founding members have left HoT for good.
that is a shame, because TMoS was one of my favourite adventure games of the last decade for those that can read German http://forum.house-of-tales.com/de/viewtopic.php?p=95944 |

The post says only about Martin Gantefoehr leaving the company. Unless Tobias Schachte left earlier.

Sad news... TMoS and Overclocked were great games. Does anybody happen to know why Martin is leaving House of Tales?

House of Tales has merged with Cranberry Productions (Black Mirror 2), both dtp entertainment studios. 15 Days flopped badly.

So he quit because of that?
I haven't played it, but will do so when an english version is out. Given their history and their previous games I think I owe them that much... |

Recently House of Tales was acquired by Cranberry Production and moved to another part of Germany.
http://www.adventure-treff.de/kommentar.php?newsid=4708 I'm guessing the move was one reason for the founding members leaving the studio, the other was having the creative freedom limited by a bigger company. EDIT: Oh, I see Neptin has already written about this.

I had no idea 15 Days had been released yet? Have any of you forumites played it?

It was released in Germany a few months ago. I haven't played it, but I read some very cold reviews and even more critical reader comments.

I played 15 Days when it was released in Germany and commented on it here once or twice. No, it's not very good, unfortunately.

I don't know any facts about the situation between House of Tales and dtp, but it seems that dtp had a bad influence on HoT since it were bought.
I'm not sure why they seemingly were hell-bent on destroying the studio. 15 Days had an unusual tight production schedule, and it showed. According to reviews and comments, the game was very basic, there was barely any gameplay, it was rather short, it just showed that the game needed another year. Too bad, really. I never was a fan of their games, but it's still sad to see when a studio loses its talented forces. |

I kept my expectations low because of their previous game OVERCLOCKED. I am still willing to play 15 Days even if its marginally improved over Overclocked.

As far as I know, quite to the contrary.

That's too bad. Their games had flaws, but I liked the stories behind them and felt like each game was an improvement over the last. I hope that Martin and Tobias will continue making games somewhere else...

I didn't like Overclocked but Moment of Silence was very good. Sad news for the company, and suprising, as I've always imagined DTP was a good company.

I played the demo of "Overclocked" and really liked that; I'm still looking to buy the full version. I hope it won't become a rare item because of this.

15 Days has just been released on The Adventure Shop. Trailer looks great, but the previous posts about it not being very good leave me hesitant. I enjoyed Overclocked, but will wait to see a few more posts/reviews before I decide.
