A recent interview with Bill Tiller at mixnmojo suggests AVS2 might be released in 2010. Although as it still doesn't have a secured publisher, personally I don't believe it could come out before 2011.

I've very much enjoyed "A Vampyre Story" so I'm looking foward to the sequell. But I doubt it will come out very soon.
I would certainly recommend AVS to the "Monkey Island" fans. It's not as good, but it has many charms in the style of the famous series. I'm also curious how the "Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island" will come up.

good game needs the ending tho, it started getting interesting at the end with the locations and characters and even the puzzles were improving. i'm hoping thesecond game will be more like the last bit of the game.

Bill's responses in the Mojo interview definitely make it sounds like Autumn Moon has found or is close to finding a publisher for AVS2 but just couldn't announce it yet. Combine that with this twitter and I think it's safe to say the game is coming.

Ugh. Please hire new writers and voice actors.
Just kidding, I still wouldn't play it because the first one wasn't worth completing. "Hey, yfladf, why are you so damn cynical? Why did you even post in this thread?" "I don't know, voice in my head, the game was only $10-20 and I have a million other games to play, I should really just be happy that it brought some kind of happiness to someone else. Maybe I'm just disappointed at the lack of adventure games that actually stay fun throughout. Also I'm really tired and stressed." "Oh, ok, well quit being a jerk."
