The release of the Activision catalogue by GOG
While I intend to get Gabriel Knight, due to my big box CD-Rom with graphic novel having been lost years ago, I do wonder what else will come out on the adventure field. The rest of the old Sierra catalogue?
However, one game that might come out is a game that I think was underrated, the Activision FMV Adventure/Puzzle game "Spycraft-The Great Game". I don't know if anyone else remembers this.

I'm hoping for the Quest for Glory series, as there's no way I'll ever pay eBay prices for it.

@Jadefalcon: I am a PC games collector, and it's been my hobby for over 20 years. This means I have the originals of GabrielKnight 1,2 and 3, and I have all the Sierra games, like the Kings Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory series and the little known Gold Rush in a special collector's edition in a wooden box made in the old fashioned way!
Because of the above, I do know of the Spycraft game, as I have that as well, and it is an underrated classic indeed! Another game, like GK1 that needs players with an IQ to appreciate them! |

Does Activision own the Zork brand? If so I hope they release some Zork games on GOG.

@PheonixWrong - I think they do, and they did have an 'Infocom Masterpieces' with 30 classic Infocom games on it, including the Zork games. (I own it as per my post above!) I wouldn't be surprised if this is not what GOG decides to sell for $9.99, if it can

Wow, QFG series would be great, because some of those are very hard to get working and there are many bugs...

Yes, Spycraft was a really great game and a rather realistic look at the KGB from the eyes of former KGB agent Oleg Kalugin. A brave move, as with the appearance of Putin (also former - but very dedicated - KGB agent) he was called "a traitor" and was stated for 10 or 15 years of imprisonment. This alone is enough to play this game.

Well, with GOG getting Activision (a bit of a scoop, if you ask me!) There are all sorts of titles that could be coming out! So GOG goes from strength to strength and the death knells for the big companies and there shallow multiformat, dumbed down for the consoles modern games!

It has been stated in various threads that it is almost impossible for GOG to have the old EA games. Can somebody explain why?

Because EA will more likely have their own 'GOG type' web retail site, based on the number of titles they can call on. EA buy, they don't sell. Don't put it past EA to put a bid in for GOG and/or CD Projekt!

Cool. I'm a big fan of White Wolf tabletop RPGs specially Werewolf and Vampire, but I've never tried Redemption. I may buy it later this year.

... and now Space Quest IV, V & VI (why not the first three though?) and Phantasmagoria.
Have to say, the GOG catalogue is looking pretty darn awesome.

SQI,II,III were some of my favourite games as a teenager. I'd love to play them again.
