Whoa!! That's a lot of crazy prices. I don't always visit the Steam store on a regular basis, so thanks for the heads up guys. :)

booB 12-22-2009 11:57 PM

Nice! I picked up Jade Empire and Wallace and Gromitt!

cristane 12-23-2009 02:41 AM

Wow! I'll pick up a bunch of those today, simply insane prices. I'll start with Ceville and Culpa Innata - I've been waiting to play those for quite some time.

Little Writer 12-23-2009 03:13 AM

Looks like Broken Sword 2 is the only interesting one for me. Too bad, I was hoping for some price drops of secret files or chronicles of mystery.

Nice sale :)

As mentioned in another thread, it's possible to get both Machinarium and Samorost 2 and their soundtracks for a total of $10. The offer ends the 25th.

EDIT: Samorost 2.

UPtimist 12-23-2009 07:29 AM

Well, I have The Dig, but I guess I can't pass on getting Loom, and two Indiana Jones games for just 2.4€. That is, if I can remember my account details and/or get Steam to work again after, well, a long time.

(Edit): Downloaded, yay!

PearlChoco 12-23-2009 11:46 PM

Should I buy Culpa Innata, or wait for Culpa Innata 2?

Intense Degree 12-24-2009 02:33 AM

Wow, I've just picked up an absolute shedload of games for under £15.

This sale is brilliant!:D

joxer 12-24-2009 05:22 AM

OMG

We should make Xmas twice a year. Twice? Each month would be enough. :)

Little Writer 12-24-2009 05:31 AM

They should do profile linked birthday sales.

booB 12-24-2009 07:53 AM

I went back for seconds and bought Aquaria and Thief: Deadly Shadows!

No_doubtsy 12-24-2009 08:23 AM

Anyone played The Void?? It's only 9.99$ but it's sounds so weird i don't think i will ever play it. Should I keep my money for Trine?

Some of those Steam prices are nice. But I'm always worried about installing new stuff like Steam on my computer. If I download these games on another machine and copy the games over to another computer, I imagine I still need Steam to play them? How intrusive is Steam if I just decide to download it on my main computer?

thanks!

Its a small program that works on its own. It doesn't install anything to your computer. Just makes a folder called steam. It just works. It is FAR from being intrusive.

Its also VERY portable. You can install it onto a flash drive, and it will work. Though playing a game on a flash drive at all isn't recommended.

Yeah steam is fine. No problems, it's come a long way since the HL2 launch.

I love getting and setting up a new PC because I can drop Steam on it first thing, go to sleep, and come back the next morning to find most of my game library downloaded and ready to play.

Steam also has a backup function. I have all my games on a backup. You can just restore the games from a backup later and don't have to download them again.
This was very helpful to me when I reinstalled my machine with Windows 7.

Don't know if its holliday special, but they have king's quest collection for 2.49.
