Fatman freeware or not
I was reading about fatman and saw that it was a game that cost money and then it was made freeware and then later had to be paid for again. I am wondering did the freeware version get revoked when the game started to cost money again.

Do you mean Fatman Adventures or The Adventures of Fatman?
I remember reading that The Adv. of Fatman became freeware or possibly pirated a while back, but according to its' website, it has been revamped and is for sale.

As the guy hosting the current Fatman, I can explain what the deal is.
Michael Doak made the original Fatman freeware back in 2002 or so. Then in 2007 he made a "special edition" with more scenes, puzzles and enhancements, which he sold off of his website. He is no longer selling it, but he has allowed me to sell it off the Wadjet Eye Games website for $9.99. Regarding the freeware version, it is no longer available off the Socko! Website nor on the Wadjet Eye website. While we can't deny it exists, neither of us support it in any way. Last edited by DaveGilbert; 11-19-2009 at 10:59 AM. |
