Machinarium Demo Available
http://www.demonews.de/download.php?id=1852&st=61600
the download should start immediately (no german is required for demo). Its from the maker of Samorost 1 and 2. In other words its awesome. I already played around with it and its highly recommended. awesome art, nice atmosphere. very gobliinesque. you can also preorder the game from the official website for a mere 11€ or so (i already did ): http://www.machinarium.com/ |

Is the game going to be without any texts/dialogues? It isn't stated anything and I want to preorder it but I don't know German (in case that's the language)

Thanks tastebud. I already played the demo and as I imagined it's great. Let's hope no dialogues will appear since I just ordered it

The demo was short but the game seems great. Although it really bugs me that you can't choose the resolution. It isn't anywhere near fullscreen on my monitor.

Does the demo look like it's from the very beginning of the game? I had already preordered it anyway, so I don't really want to spoil the experience otherwise.
And yeah, I'm pretty sure all the previews I had read (at least three, including AG's) stated there would be no dialogues.

I liked it, the robot is very cute
Its easy to see some similarities with Samorost, particularly in some puzzles and in the melancholic mood.

Yesterday I forgot to look at the walkthrough that comes with the demo (next to the hint symbol). Love it! And they make you work for it too, shooting spiders first.

It does look very cool. Kinda reminds me of that claymation game's puzzles.
Update: No DRM! Demo was awesome. Last edited by darthmaul; 10-01-2009 at 09:38 AM. |
