Jules Verne's Return to Mysterious Island is 0.99 cents at the app store, so....
I don't have the original PC version, how much of the game am I missing by playing the iPhone version?
I know it's just 99 cents, but should I just get the PC version instead? I've yet yo play any adventure games on the iPhone because pixel hunting must be a nightmare on such a small screen, which is why I haven't bought Flight of the Amazon Queen yet, either... :frown: |
I got it for more than that and let me tell you this: get the damn thing now.
It's awesome. Certainly one of the best experiences I had on my iPod Touch. Get it. |
WOW WOW WOW .... how do i find these?? I'm looking thru my app store as we speak!!
|
Ok... sorry i got excited... found it, just did a search for Jules Verne. It said 3.99 but then it said it was 40% off so I don't know if thats the already discounted price or not. Anyway... it aint 99 cents where i come from... I would assume the app store was shared between participating countries.
Anyway.... its in the process of downloading. Luckily i connected to our houses WiFi for it. Might take a while and in Australia we get charged per MB we use.... ripped off.... |
Hi,
The iPhone version isn't really shorter, but some actions are simpler, because some are pretty hard to do for a lot of players, there is also a walk-trough specially for the iPhone version. The majority of iPhone players need to play 8 hours to finish it. The version 1.2 is out and cames with a lot of new things : - Adding sounds/musics - Improvement of performances - Adding languages (French, German, Spanish) - Adding an "How-to" feature - ... you can see a video of a previous version here. The price will stay at 1$ for the moment. |
