I worried to much. The game runed fine on my notebook on Level 9 quality. Installed at 11:30 Pm and finished at about 03:40 AM. LOVED the game. Great ending. I am now drooling to get my hands on chapter 2.

For what it's worth, I did not have that problem, and I ran it on low settings. 1 or 2, I think.

Indeed. I had no gameplay problems at all on my laptop (at level 2) or my desktop (at level 6).

Is there a way to skip through the dialogue? I remember in the old Lucas games, you could press the period(.) button I believe and skip the dialogue. Is their an equivalent here?

Right clicking should do the trick, if I'm remembering correctly.

Try one of the Sam & Max's as a filler while you wait.

Begs the question who's buying this on Steam - all the goodness is available at the Telltalers' shop. Fools!
THERE BE SPOILERS IN THIS LINK: I really dig some of the animations. Most comedy games, particularly adventure games work mostly with supposedly snazzy scripts and quality voice acting as the supposed source of giggles, whilst everyone who has ever watched a good sitcom or comedy movie knows that the biggest laughs are never a result of merely a clever written line of dialogue. Adventure game characters in particular are mostly pretty stiff when it comes to their range of body language and facial expressions, but it's very much apparent from the get-go that this is the area Telltale are putting the most effort in. Games are kind of fighting an uphill battle, as no game character is ever going to act like a human being, maybe never going to be as good at mimicking such as a Pixar character, but I think Telltale are really doing a good job at this. The timing in that Spoiler:sequence in particular is pretty spot-on. Just had to post it. Now roll on Episode 2, oh, and is that the noise of wannaWii pirates itching to get their hands on this?

Super cool contest over at Telltale... come up with a line about how Guybrush has wronged you, and they'll use the best ones in the game (probably in episode 4, the one with Guybrush's trial), and they'll also add you to the credits. Check it out, and maybe vote for me while you're at it

And, another one. I've voted for everyone on this page, so it would be nice if some of you returned the favour. I have to say, the number one line at the minute isn't that great, although I've just got the game, and it is. |

I finally got around to playing the full first episode and I must say, I am pleasantly surprised. The game is truly fun and is probably the best Telltale Games adventure I have played so far (granted I've only played the Bone games and S&M season 1), and one of the best adventure games I've played in recent memory. The humor is top-notch, the voice work is great, and the graphics are vibrant and colorful.
As far as the gameplay goes, I actually got suck on a puzzle or 2 for a while, so the game is definitely more challenging than some of TT's older adventures. The new hint system is great, thank you for adding it. This way, you can give us veteran adventurers a real challenge, and give the newbies the option to go through the game without being frustrated by the genre's stereotypes. Although , I have to say, the puzzles were all logical and fit naturally to progress the game forward. If I have a few minor complaints, I felt that some of the newer characters lacked character compared to LeChuck, Guybrush and the barber trio from CMI for example. Don't take me wrong, I loved Marquis de Singe but some of the other ones were bland and uninteresting. I can't wait to meet: Spoiler:The new mouse/keyboard controls are pretty bad, and should be replaced by the simple control scheme used in Sam and Max season 1. Still not sure why it was replaced, when that scheme worked perfectly. And finally, that one puzzle that Thello talked about, Spoiler:, well you gave us the solution It would have been nice if you trusted our intelligence to solve it, and just give it if you used the hint system. Besides these minor complaints this is a hell of a start and I can't wait for the second chapter. Good job Telltale.
