I wonder why Telltale never got Earl Boen to reprise his role as LeChuck, but they got Dominic Armato and Alexandra Boyd back for Guybrush and Elaine...?

I'm as hyped with anticipation as one can get. Finishing some more work this week before getting some true time off which I definitely will spend gaming (at least partly).

Guybrush and Elaine's exchange was hilarious. I'm very happy Alexandra Boyd is back, and Guybrush is animated wonderfully!

Earl Boen is basically retired and living in Hawaii. He was available to do the SMI:SE voice as this was a one-off job that would not need any re-records as its kinda set in stone.

With Tales, they are still writing later episodes and it would have invloved a lot more trips for Earl plus ongoing edits etc.

LeChuck's new voice actor is absolutely horrendous (HAR... HAR... HAR...), but other than that the game is looking pretty decent.

The main problem with LeChuck is his voice is just too high. The actor is attempting to deepen his voice, but it's not enough.

I'm not impressed.The writing wasn't funny, it seemed to resemble the beginning of the 4th installment too much, Graphics were bland, Guybrush didn't act or look half as goofy as previous games... it seems more like a fangame than one of the series. Perhaps I shouldn't judge by that one section, but if the rest of the game is as unimaginative then I'm not in the single bit interested.

Now, when's Whispered World coming out?

Seems promising. Of course I prefer Earl Boen's voice but I don't mind the new guy that much. The writing seems really good to me.
