LucasArts plans to rerelease classics
but only if you buy the updated Monkey Island
http://blogs.watoday.com.au/digital-...eorgeitsm.html Since I couldnt get used to old Grim's control, I guess I have to buy Monkey Island, lol |
Wow, I hope everyone buys this. Furthermore I hope it's not pirated.
Is there a release date yet? |
Yeah, its not expensive enough or lacking to be pirated. Not to mention, its an old favorite of everyone's. So....BUY NOW!
|
So it's a ransom they want eh? *gulp* I-I Th-thing we'd better pay up guys, they might hurt someone!

I don't know whose been talking to Lucasarts this year, I don't know what the hell has happened over there, and frankly I don't care.
Just keep them coming, and I'll keep spending. :) |

Apparently they have a new president. |
I've heard people whine that this is some sort of "blackmail," which is just absurd. It's a fact - if they can make money re-releasing these games, they will. They are a business, after all.
I have no idea how Monkey Island will do, but I know I'll buy a copy, and I very much hope they give the same treatment to Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. |
Yeah if they can make monkey to make new games. I'll buy it.

This thread title is awfully misleading. LucasArts has no "plans" to do anything but wait and see how this one fares. That many of them are fans of the old adventures and would like to do more updates is the same thing we've been reporting all along. ;)
I'd be surprised if we don't see at least one more update, but that's based on nothing concrete, so let's not misrepresent what the company has actually said. |
