Awsome, sorry to sound like a noob but how old is Flight of the Amazon Queen, and is it good?

I have played through Beneath a Steel Sky and finished it, I really enjoyed it. But then again I like all of Revolution's works

I've downloaded Amazon Queen and the new version of ScummVM. I'll have to wait till the weekend to play it though. Thanks for spreading the news.

There was a typo in the link on the downloads page... it should work now.

Or you can just get it here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/s...e.zip?download

That's two chunks of excellent news in two days, which has definitely helped to wash away the Sam and Max 2 disappear.

Flight of the Amazon Queen is awesome. It's not a very large download so everyone should play it.

Does this one have speech? I only ever completed it on Amiga. Great game, possibly one of the greatest games outside LucasArts.

Yeah, the PC version should have speech.

Yes, I really like this game. It has a very LucasArts-like style to it.

Am I the only one who thinks that the speech actually takes away from the game? The actual game itself seems really great.. but the speech is HORRIBLE IMO. My recommendation.... turn speech off!

Yeah, I agree. I played the Amiga version relatively recently, then got the PC version to see what the speech was like - it's terrible! And the music is no good compared to the Amiga version, so I'll stick with that!

It doesn't even have the comedy value of BASS, with the main character (Foster) saying things completely inappropriate for his accent!

The game feels very good, but I agree that the voicework is just plain bad.

ScummVM is such a cool thing, I wish I had found out about it sooner...I only started using it like last year. I remember being mad when i had to play through MI 2 with no sound.

The BASS voice version is awesome for one reason alone - the factory controller (whatever his name was). He had the most hilarious fat Yorkshireman voice ever. Reminded me of Fred Elliot from Coronation Street (British soap opera).

Is there Scumm support for the amiga version? I would like to check that out sometime if there was.

I've already got FotAQ, but never could get it to run. What a great, great service ScummVM is for gamers.
