Right on! Stick it to "John Romero's Chrono Trigger" and "The People Who Cancelled Sam and Max 2's Knights of the Old Republic"!

My Vote.
I just casted my vote, on GameSpy. You can thank me right now, if you want, because I chose Grim Fandango. However, it's really disheartening to see Grim Fandango on number 3 right now

Hey he's quoting Tim Schafer, so it's obviously a fair statement.

I've noticed that you can vote again if you wait for a little while. So if you've already submitted your vote, do it again |

If it was Chrono Trigger versus almost any other game, then I'd vote Chrono.
But Grim Fandango? One of the best. Of any genre.

What I want to know is if this poll will have truly practical results, i.e. have some kind of effect on how LA view adventure games. Otherwise it looks to be yet another popularity contest.
EDIT: I just voted. It's just another superficial popularity contest. Ten seconds of my life wasted.

People have short memories , i don't blame them for voting for Kotor . I played it, its really great. The sad thing is that lucasarts has another excuse not to make adventure games and keep pumping out star wars crap.
I like starwars, but the games are crap. |

A search for a crazy man!

Well, with only half an hour late only a miracle could save Manny now. Ah well, I can't say it's too surprising. I take some small comfort in the fact that Grim actually put up a pretty good fight rather than just being completely buried.

Caring about the Titlefight is just a waste of time. Gamespy started out as a matching service for online FPS games. As such their reader base cares almost exclusively about FPS and RTS. Look at the contenders in the tournament. 13 of the 64 are first person shooters (More if you count things like System Shock 2 or Metroid Prime). That's ridiculous by any standards. I can't imagine why they included the few console or single player games they did, as it's obvious they don't care about them. The competitions between PC action, strategy, and RPG games get around 15000 votes, where the console game or other PC game competitions only get around 5,000.

Even though Grim Fandango lost on Monday, it's not dead (again...again) yet. In a roundup of this week's non-winners, GameSpy is running an Extra Life poll until Monday, with the winner rising from the ashes--only to face off against Starcraft and Diablo II, but hey, you take the breaks where you can get 'em.
Anyway, you've got approximately 71 hours and 40 minutes, so head that way and vote for Grim (or Myst, I suppose, if you swing that way) when you've got a chance.

Grim Fandango is currently in third place (in case someone can't be bothered to check). So head over there and send in your votes.
