New games?
2004-03-15 00:09

Well, well, well! What do I see in CVS? A directory titled 'saga' and an intriguing games listing :

Inherit the Earth (DOS)
Inherit the Earth (DOS CD Version)
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (DOS)
Admittedly, I've played neither of these adventure games, but more adventure support is never a bad thing.

Wooh!

Woohoo!

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream!

Now that's a game that deserves it's place in ScummVM.

It just doesn't play well in Windows, so this is very good news indeed.

Though this is totally old news, I'd never seen shots of ScummVM on a cell phone...

That's pretty sweet.

I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about this as well, of course I suspect that getting a game onto a cell phone would require me to have skills which I sadly lack.

Like being able to program anything more complex than getting my computer to repeat my name back to me, or attempting to solder anything without causing 4th degree burns to myself.

*Sigh*

That's a cell phone?? Where are the numbers and things? Complex technology confuses me.

You can use the onscreen keyboard with your pen, or you could attach the flap with the number-keys (and then detach it when you're done, and want to use it as a PDA). I've never tried one myself, but that's how I think it works

Man I had that game. It kicked so much buttocks!! It wasn't too hard of a game except if you had a fast computer, then the timed reflex game was your worst adventure game nightmare. Spike the psychotic clown is quite possibly my favorite supporting adventure game character and Christopher Lloyd kicks even more buttocks. Unfortunatly I no longer have the game. I lent it to my friend Sean and that was the last I ever saw of it.

Now, it would be marvellous that they supported the three Matt Gruson's adventures that were published by Microprose. I know: this is asking too much

You know, all your favourite games might be added if you somehow get hold of the source code for the games in question in a legal way and then put effort in to make it work together with ScummVM. If you don't want to put in that effort, you'll just have to hope that you are lucky enough that someone else will do it for you (or perhaps you could pay someone to do it). It won't happen by simple wishing.
