adventure game for an idiot like me
i am not an adventurer but i did play 'dracula origin' the game by frogwares, and i thought it was great. i haven't been able to find a 3d game like that one. i'll play a game that doesn't use image stills, where you click and you end up somewhere. sam and max is the kind of 3d adventure game i like, except i want it a bit more serious.
so boys and darlings, got any recommendations. |

3D adventures include:
Dreamfall Fahrenheit The 'Ankh' series Jack Keanu Broken Sword 3 & 4 Gabriel Knight 3 (serious adventure game, but very old) The 'Silent Hill' series Around the World in 80 Days But to be honest, most adventures have pre-rendered graphics (which I presume is what you mean by 'image stills'?). Furthermore, most of the greatest adventure games (older ones or the latest) are ones with pre-rendered so you'd be missing out on a lot. |

I think you would really like the later Frogware Sherlock Holmes games - from awakened to nemesis to jack the ripper.
You should also check out Secret Files: Tunguska or Art of Murder 1 and 2. They have a help option; hitting spacebar allows you to see the hotspots and the puzzles are very logical.

I think Tunguska is the most illocical game ever made. Remember the "listen in on a phone" puzzle? I hate it.

Agreed that was a very weird puzzle. However, where Tunguska might have the advantage (for someone that's not heavily adventury) is most of the time you're working in a fairly small area. Makes trial and error solving a bit easier if you need to resort to it.

If you liked Dracula Origin, Black Mirror would be a game for you. The english acting is bad, but everything else about the game is pretty awesome. In some ways, like its story, I think it is even better than Origins.
