Larry, Space Quest and more, multiplayer online in your browser

Hi,

I have been working on a site for the past half year, and wrote a javascript interpreter for the classic Sierra AGI games such as Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest and more.

You can play them in your browser at http://sarien.net, and they are even multiplayer.

Sorry for the shameless plug, but I know that this post will be read by people who are just as big a sucker for adventure games as I am, so I think you all will like it. If you do, or not, please let me know. Any input is appreciated!

No, this interpreter does in principle the same thing as ScummVM. As long as his AGI implementation is "clean room", i.e. does not contain any code from the original interpreter, this is perfectly legal.

Edit: OK, I looked closer at the site and it seems indeed that the games themselves or at least remakes of them have been uploaded. This is of course indeed of 'questionable legality'.

Wow, lets just look past the 'questionable legailty' and stare in wonder. This is quite awesome. This is actually a technological improvement for adventure games. I can see a lot of possibilities out of this.

The inability to save or change your speed makes Police Quest near impossible with all the driving sections but it is incredibly fun to be able to play it with a bunch of other people
