Default Rhiannon / Coven music available for free download

Hello all,

The full soundtrack of 'Rhiannon' has fifteen tunes - I've put five of them on MySpace. There is also a piece called 'Onward Regardless', which I'm thinking of adding to the incidental music for 'Coven'.

Ideally, headphones. Or turn the speakers up. Either way, be my guest and may it please you.

Best,

Noel Bruton

I may as well post this here, save making a new topic. Is Rhiannon good? I just finished the 2 demos and thought it was awesome, sort of Barrow Hill esque controls (which tbh altough I prefer panoramic, work well), and it seems creepy, with good story etc.

Do you think I would like the game? I loved Barrow Hill, Scratches, Lost Crown etc etc.

To be honest I didn't like it. It's got some original ideas that that I liked a lot. For instance the fact that you can't pick up an item until you find a need for it. This adds to the games sense of immersion since in the usual AG standard your character might pick up a sheep, a box of captain crunch, and a sling shot which would leave you wondering why your character would think to pick these things up.

It's actually pretty scary for what segments I did play, but if you're expecting a slow build up like Barrow Hill or Scratches you'll be disappointed since the supernatural stuff happens immediately.

The real problem came half way through the second day. The game followed a perfectly logical progression. It had some challenges, but nothing that should stump any one. Suddenly you're supposed to go around collecting a bunch of items, and doing a series of tasks based in a seriously innocuous clue.

After hours of wandering around I started to use a walkthrough. The moment I peaked at it I said to myself "I'm supposed to do what? Why would any one think of that?". I followed the walkthrough waiting for a point where I could jump back in, but more and more I kept saying "Why would any one think of doing any of this?". So I just quit.

Despite the graphics are very dated (I didn't really mind, but it does hurt the immersion factor a little.) the only other major complaint I could give is that some of the hot spots are hard to find which would have led to hours and hours of pixel hunting, and walking around trying everything on everything if I had not been using a walkthrough.
